Our AI Agent Clara reduces friction and brings structure to the biggest bottleneck of insurance operations: the Mailroom.

Role 👀
We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join our product & engineering team.
We have a challenging roadmap ahead of us, so we need someone to help build out our platform's core, craft new features, and integrate new systems.
On any given day, you could be
- working on a new module to automatically generate e-mail replies with LLMs
- brainstorming with customer success on how we can automate all their configuration work
- diving into the core of our platform to optimize the latency of a single microservice

Your responsibilities 📆 Product Development:
- Build and enhance our AI Agents’ capabilities across claims & policy administration
- Develop new modules for automated email processing and response generation using LLMs
- Optimize core platform performance and microservice architecture for scalability
- Integrate with various insurance back-office systems and third-party APIs
Technical Excellence:
- Write clean, maintainable Python code following software engineering best practices
- Collaborate on system architecture decisions and technical roadmap planning
- Contribute to our platform's reliability, security, and performance optimization
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Customer Success to understand user needs and automate configuration workflows
- Partner with Product team to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Support Sales and Marketing with technical insights and proof-of-concept development
- Provide technical expertise during customer demos and implementation discussions
You are a great fit if you have 👇 Technical Foundation:
- Pragmatic programmer with experience in Python who understand best practices in software engineering
- Experience with AI/ML technologies, particularly LLMs and natural language processing
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Understanding of database design and optimization (SQL/NoSQL)
Problem-Solving Mindset:
- Passion for overcoming complexity and communicating complex ideas in simple ways
- Experience in startup environments or fast-paced product development
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to balance technical debt with feature delivery
Collaboration & Growth:
- Excellent communication skills and team collaboration experience
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving AI landscape
- Interest in the insurance/fintech domain and business process automation
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
